Honey BBQ Meatloaf w/ Homemade RMR Bread Crumbs!

Take it from someone who generally can't stand meatloaf -- this recipe converted me! Growing up I always remember it being a huge loaf of ground beef with chopped onions and ketchup being poured over the top. Yuck, still makes me cringe. This, however, is a different twist & hopefully a game-changer for all who try!

It sounds complicated... but stay with me! Do you think I would be sharing if it was complicated? No, the answer is no.

Serves 6-8


1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup homemade RMR bread crumbs (see directions below)

1/4 cup BBQ sauce

1 tbsp dijon mustard

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp RMR seasoning

2 teaspoons worchestershire



Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1/2 of the BBQ sauce, mustard, RMR seasoning, and 1 tsp of the worchestershire together in a bowl with your hands, that seems to be the easiest. Shape into meatloaf in a casserole dish. You'll have to shape it yourself, mine looked sort of egg-shaped so no judgement. It's going to be delicious so who cares. Try not to pack it took tightly or it will come out tough.

In a small bowl mix remaining BBQ sauce, worchestorshire, and honey into a sauce to be poured over the top of the meatloaf. Once mixed, pour evenly over the meatloaf and bake for 40 minutes.


2 pieces of sourdough bread

2 tbsp of RMR seasoning


Bake sourdough bread in the oven at 350 degrees until it crumbles into a bowl (15 minutes or so), flipping them over about halfway through. You can mash them with a potato masher, or use a food processor, either works. Then whisk in RMR seasoning. Use 1/2 cup of this mixture for the Honey BBQ Meatloaf.
